Charity Visit to Association Yee Ran Jing Sheh Handicapped Children's Home - 22 December 2013

For our first ever charity event, we decided to cheer up the 63 handicapped children from Association Yee Ran Jing Sheh (YRJS) Handicapped Children's Home in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

Prior to the visit, we have contacted the person in-charge of YRJS about what they need and an appointment for the visit.

We started to gather donation from friends, including food, drinks, diapers and daily household items. Besides the donations of goods, we also prepared a cash donation to help ease the financial burden of the home.

We also got a bus sponsored by MP of Bayan Baru, YB Sim Tze Tzin to ferry 22 person of us (committees and volunteers) to YRJS.

We received a very warm welcome from the committees of YRJS followed by a brief introductory and touring of the home. The home had 63 inmates of all ages, from children to old adults of both sexes. They were housed in 2 old single-storey houses, one for males and one for females. Most of them were severely handicapped both physically and mentally.

Introduction of Persatuan Sahabat Prihatin Pulau Pinang

PERSATUAN SAHABAT PRIHATIN PULAU PINANG was officially registered with Registry of Societies Malaysia under Societies Act 1966 on 07 November 2013 with registration number PPM-011-07-07112013.

Our association is a non-profit organization founded by a group of volunteers with a purpose of creating public awareness on helping the poor & needy and to help raise funds for charities.

Our association operating without any financial support from government. We collecting funds and essential goods from the public through our fundraising campaign.
