小小汤圆献关怀, 与湖内恩惠爱老院同庆冬至

Persatuan Sahabat Prihatin Pulau Pinang will be visiting Relau Rumah Charis Home for the Senior Citizens on 20/12/2015 in conjunction with the Winter Solstice Festival. We will celebrate the Winter Solstice Festival with "Tang Yuan" and luncheon as well as donation of daily essentials to the home. The senior citizens will be entertained with musical performance while having their lunch. Blood Donation Campaign 2015 - 12th July 2015

The safe transfusion of blood and blood products helps save millions of lives every year. It can help patients suffering from life-threatening conditions live longer and with a higher quality of life, as well as supporting complex medical and surgical procedures. It also has an essential, life-saving role in maternal and child care and during man-made and natural disasters.

However, in many countries, demand for exceeds supply and blood services face the constant challenge of making sufficient blood available, while also ensuring its quality and safety.
An adequate supply can only be ensured through regular donations by voluntary unpaid blood donors. Help save a life today by donating blood to those in need. Giving blood is a simple thing to do, but it can make a big difference in the lives of others.

Blood donation campaign 2015 is the 3rd campaign organised annually by Persatuan Sahabat Prihatin Pulau Pinang. This year, we have the honour to collaborate with state of Penang in making this meaningful event a success. Our aim is to promote regular voluntary blood donation and to create wider public awareness of the need for regular donation.

細雨無阻聲援燭光會‧百人悼逝世羅興亞船民

(檳城) 約百名群眾週五（22日）傍晚聚集在檳城言論廣場，在細雨中為仍在海上漂流的羅興亞船民舉辦聲援燭光會，並為逝世的船民集體默哀一分鐘。

這場聲援羅興亞船民燭光會是在傍晚6時30分舉行，由檳城停止販賣人口運動（Penang Stop Human Trafficking Campaign）、國民醒覺運動（Aliran）、國際公民（Citizens International）、檳州關懷之友協會（Persatuan Sahabat Prihatin Pulau Pinang）和人民之聲檳城辦事處（Suaram Penang）聯合舉辦。

數人扮屍體盼獲關注

主辦單位當日帶領人們手持蠟燭沿著言論廣場步行，並安排數名人士以黑色垃圾袋將自己包裹起來，橫躺在地上喬裝成失去性命的船民屍體，配上詩歌朗誦，要求社會關注並協助羅興亞船民。

柏麗瑪蒂瓦拉：政府速設庇護所

國民醒覺運動執委柏麗瑪蒂瓦拉說，雖然我國政府已經同意伸出援手，但該團體還是會持續對羅興亞船民的關注。

“我們希望政府既然決定協助船民，就該即刻與各相關單位合作，以期用最快速度提供緊急醫療與物資援助。”

她說，羅興亞船民不等同於犯罪者，反之不負責任的國家與涉及販賣人口、強姦、殺害或貪污的犯罪集團才是真正的罪犯。

她呼吁政府儘速設立庇護所，並以平等態度提供援助。

安華法查：盼馬簽難民公約

國際公民代表安華法查說，人們之所以反對政府收留船民，主要是出自人們狹隘的種族主義觀與對外來者持有的偏見。

他也希望我國政府可以簽署聯合國難民公約，以在東南亞中扮演更為積極的角色。

另外，檳州大馬和平信徒協會代表索比亞說，大馬身為東盟輪值主席，卻無法施壓緬甸政府解決羅興亞船民課題，豈非形同無用？

他說，我國政府應該要求聯合國就此對緬甸採取行動，如果我國政府無法做到這點，那就應該下台。（星洲日報／大北馬）
